Ongole, is a large town and a municipality in Prakasam district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is the administrative headquarters of Prakasam District.Ongole is famous for its Ongolu Gitta (Ongole breed of oxen). This is one of the major Zebu cattle breeds in the world.
