  I am a teacher at school. One child says to his parents that I don't let him answer the questions and parents come to me and complain, and they don't understand that their son is very active and other children also need to participate. They have already come 4 times. Don't know what to do

    Hi, do don't think you can every explain a parent on this, as every parent wants their child to answer all the questions.
    
    Instead may be you can change the method of asking questions in the class as:
    
    1. to write down the answer and you will pick a student to explain or work it out on the board
    
    2. you will pick up any student randomly
    
    3. to divide them into groups asking they will have to present on one specific topic related to the chapter they are dealing with and the one who is always active, to give guidance to the others and to present it as a team.
    
    some of these may help every student in the class.

  Discipline to a certain extent is required for any situation. It has to become a habit for an individual.And how to do it in the classrooms is a major concern amongst the teaching fraternity.

    Discipline is mandatory whether it's at home or school. We should start from home itself where a child understands that if he or she doesn't adhere to certain rules and regulations then punishment should be given to them. Punishment should also be given in such a way that they understand the reason behind it. It should be according to their age and patterns, hitting a child should be avoided as it won't do any help to them. A disciplined child will learn to behave in a disciplined way and will inspire others to do the same. Hence discipline should be imbibed in children right from their childhood.
